Dr. Andrew Chen earned his DDS degree from the prestigious USC dental school in 1992, and completed a 2-year residency program in anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh in 1994. Dr. Chen has had a number of academic appointments, published his research in various trade publications. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and societies, has earned fellowship in anesthesiology with the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Additionally Dr. Chen is a Diplomate of the esteemed National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and is Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor for the American Heart Association.
He has focused his career on performing anesthesiology services, while allowing other dentists to treat patients with physical limitations, small children and patients with dental phobias. He believes that all patients should have equal access to dental care, and should not be limited because of health conditions or fears. He meticulously plans each case, studying each case history and planned treatment. Whenever necessary Dr. Chen will consult with all of patients’ physicians and make all necessary arrangements to insure the safety, success and smooth flow of each procedure. His gentleness, excellent chair side manners and outstanding skills make him an outstanding anesthesiology specialist and an amazing asset to our team.
